Doug & Deb

While Doug & Deb each maintain "day jobs," they have often considered pursuing the music industry. Last year, they decided to formally record original music with a positive message. It is their hope that you will be encouraged and inspired.

Their first album,
One Body, was officially released in January, 2007, and is comprised of 12 original songs. Songs were written by Deb and music was composed and performed by Doug and other artists. Deb performed all lead vocals. The music was engineered, recorded, and mastered in their home studio. At present, they have plans for future projects and collaborations with other established artists in the music industry.

Please listen to samples of their songs at “HEAR US.” If you are interested in ordering their first album, it is available at www.CDBaby.com.

The underlying theme guiding their first album is the
one body concept.

One Body Concept

Many differences exist in our world. There are different nations, cultures, languages, and beliefs. We even look, speak and dress differently from our next-door neighbors. Regardless of our differences, we must accept each other as equals. We must overcome our natural tendencies, causing us to treat our neighbors unfairly just because they are unlike us. Unfortunately, this behavior and approach is not easy for us. It requires continuous attention. Others are continually looking for us to fail in this endeavor. To achieve this unifying character, we must pray to God and ask Him to bestow the ability to love others as ourselves.

One way we can begin to appreciate the differences in others is through music. We believe God gave people an affinity for music to 1)Praise & worship Him and 2) Come together as one body. Simply put, music transcends our differences and provides an opportunity for us to harmoniously work together for God's glory.

Specifically, Paul tells us in
I Corinthians 12:12, “as the body is one and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body.” Essentially, our own bodies are comprised of many parts that each look and act differently. God designed our numerous and unique parts to work together as one. Similarly, we look different from each other, but we must all work together as one for the good of our society.

And in
Romans 12:5, Paul advises, “we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.” This describes our ultimate purpose in coming together as one - - - to worship the sole reason we have hope and to share our hope with others.

We thank God for this opportunity to honor Him and recognize all the wonderful people He has introduced to us as we continue our journey of understanding Him. We appreciate the many rewarding relationships He enabled. God continually shows us we are capable of meeting, working, and enjoying others who are much different from ourselves. And through our differences, the
body is more complete and stronger in its resolve to serve and praise Him.

We hope this website encourages you to be steadfast in your own journey to discover God and what He has in store for your unique gifts, talents and abilities. Remember, God has given each of us distinct passions that can ultimately, be used to develop and maintain positive relationships with other members of the
body.

In summary, welcome opportunities to associate yourself with others for the glory of God who made us uniquely different for a reason so that through Him we can work together as
one body.
